To all members of Purton Cricket Club
As you are all aware some restrictions have now been lifted by the UK Government. This has included that you can exercise outdoors on your own, with members of your household or with one other person from outside your household while keeping two meters apart at all times.
I understand that this does mean that many of you will want to use the facilities at Purton Cricket Club. However, today the ECB has made it clear that outdoor facilities should only reopen, if those responsible for them are ready to do so and they can do so safely, following the ECB and public health guidance. The ECB has stated no club should reopen their outdoor facilities if they feel unable to meet the requirements.
At present our outdoor nets do not meet the requirements set by the ECB, therefore Purton Cricket Club will remain closed until further notice. We are working on a number of actions and once these have been completed, we will update our membership on the process of using the nets at Purton Cricket Club.
Please be assured we are working as fast as we can to ensure the safety of our membership.
